About The GPC TDM
The Gentlemen's Pistol Club Team Death Match Tournament
The GPC TDM Tournament is a competition formed for gamers of a Half-Life modification entitled "
The Specialists". This competition pits the best of "The Specialists" gamers from around the world against each other in a fast-paced twenty minute showdown of bullets, kung fu, and a hearty dose of slow motion.
The original GPC TDM Tournament was the brainchild of "Turbban the Stampede", a member of the Gentlemen's Pistol Club, upon which this tournament was named. He enjoyed playing with other clan members, but yearned for more organized play on servers.
After completiting a portion of the original GPC TDM, the competition was halted due to a lack of player commitment. Three years after the original competitions, Everwing, a fan of the original tournament, decided to reopen it under his care.
Competitions, called "matches", are held whenever possible, and four players compete in a two-vs.-two deathmatch competition. The planned itinerary is set for all matches to be completed in the matter of a few weeks during the summer of 2007.
The goal of The GPC TDM is to have
fun, in a friendly environment. Individual playing styles are encouraged. All gameplay tactics are allowed.
Demos that are recorded and screenshots that are taken during the tournament will be placed here for public viewing.
Remember, have
fun.
Currently, all rosters are "locked": no new additional teams are allowed to enter the tournament without the permission of Everwing.
